First Graders at SES complete their Monet project!  We started by using 3D materials to build a Monet style water garden with our visiting artist, Mrs. Root.  THANK YOU Mrs. Root!  We made a virtual visit to museums to study the masterpieces of Claude Monet.  We read stories about Monet.  We painted our water gardens in the style of Monet.  What would you see if you were on the bridge in Giverny, looking down?

CRAFTS AND 3 DIMENSIONAL constructions are important for developing fine motor skills, eye-hand coordination, problem-solving and critical thinking skills, imagination and much more!  Lower-elementary students are finishing up the year with all kinds of constructions of paper, foil sculpture, clay and recycled or found materials.

These K through 2nd grade constructions were inspired by the
museum masterpieces of Claude Monet.
