Art Exhibits

Please visit the home page of my blog to view lists and posts of all of our impressive art presentations this year.  Art is meant to be viewed and experienced!  This is an important part of the learning process.  Sharing, reflecting and discussing our art work helps us to learn life-long skills that apply to all subjects.  These skills include developing habits of mind and strategies for planning, monitoring and evaluating our work.  I am happy to have opportunities to celebrate student achievement in the arts through exhibition.

For 2015-16 the ACPS Annual Visual Arts Festival will be April 17th to May 1st.  More information will come soon.

2014-15

Welcome to the 2014-15 year of art exhibitions and collaborations.  Our first art and music assembly at Broadus Wood Elementary School will feature second grade achievements in the arts.  It will be on November 18th at 9:30 AM in our school gym.

We congratulate our students exhibiting art at the COB for 2014-2015.  Congrats to Kylie and Keelin at SES and Jill C., Daniel G. and Nate G. at BW or now at Jouet.

Here are my slides of the 2014 Visual Arts Festival at Fashion Square Mall.  Most of these are elementary schools.  A few are middle school art.  The work is awesome!
